When you think about it

Feeling a right little feeble weeble today, hopefully I'll buck up a bit in a min for all these upcoming activities...in meantime thank goodness for the internet and all its sedentary jolts and joys. Looking at localish news reports have brought tears of emotion to my eyes and brought on head shaking in disbelief. For example... On the evening of 9th September there will be 'a peace walk for all faiths and none' from Exeter Mosque to Exeter Cathedral where the bell ringers will be playing John Lennon's Imagine 'not because they agree with the song's lyrics but because of its power to make us think'. Bring it on Exeter....My first gratitude of the day is for this moving and outside of the box memorial!

My second is for the story of a holiday maker who after choosing to visit the working harbour in Ilfracombe complained to a newspaper that the sight and smell of dead fish was distressing to his children and the town should be more considerate to tourists! Well done for Ilfracombe for not apologising for landing unpackaged fish. Was tempted to write something about the efforts locals have to go to to avoid the sounds and smells of oiks and grockles but that would be uncharitable, ignorant and bigoted wouldn't it?

Humans eh? Sometimes I really look forward to getting back to my own planet!

  1. Hi Angel
I bet that chaps kids think captain birdseye cuts the fingers off fish, and I expect they are quite happy to chew those down after 'The Nanny' has cooked their tea! Second thoughts bet the snotty nosed dad is the one that had a 'Nanny' Patxx
