Anyone who's studied English language...and no doubt other sorts as well...will know that people who set store by the use of words like to name the way words are used too. They like to 'genrificate' them (to coin a neoligism) and these days, accustomed as we are to advertising slogans and catchphrases, something punchy that alliteration or rhyme helps trip off the tongue and stay in the mind seems to be preferred...Chick lit, Nordic Noir...I wonder if what I'm writing now is Pollyanna prose?
